Backtracking

For a while now, my band has been too tight. I'd been having all sorts of problems with it, so I finally went to a doctor. They unfilled me most of the way (I have .5 cc left) and are waiting for the inflammation to subside. I did clear liquids only for a few days, and I'm on full liquids until Monday. I can start solid foods again on Monday. I'm excited, but I'm worried that I won't be satisfied with the recommended 1/2 cup of food at a time. With almost no restriction, I'm afraid I'll be hungry and tempted to eat something I shouldn't. I almost feel as though I'm starting all over again. I just hope this works and the next fill will be just right. I haven't lost any weight in a while. I'm hoping to finally break through this plateau and start losing again.

It's good that you got some fill removed. The longer you let problems go on, the harder they are to fix.

I'm afraid it's quite possible that your hunger and ability to eat more will return, though you can't really judge that until you've been on solid food for a day or two. All I can say is, I've been there, done that, and encourage you to just hang on!

Oh, and have you scheduled another appointment for follow up and possible re-fill? I would do that so I have something to look forward to.

It's white knuckle time. Hang on, and best wishes. But I am glad you went in to get it addressed!

I have an appointment on April 11. I don't know if they will give me a fill then or not, however. It just depends on how everything looks. It's not too much time to wait. I think I can make it, but I might be here a lot. :)
