My Journey 4/17/2009

I had surgery 4/17/2009. I was 217 and lost about 30 the first year and was very disappointed. It was a very slow process. I continued to lose, but very slowly. I had about 5 fills and did feel much restriction. I continue to lose weight, but very slowly.

Then in decemember of 2011 I had a fill and started taking Vitamins.

I have not had fill since 12/2011 and been at 140 or less for the past year!!

I love my lap band!!!!

I wear a size 8 or 10 is great!!!

I would do it again in a heartbeat! My Mom was worried about my health, but not now!!!

Great job! It's good to see you can get back in the "bandwagon".

Very nice to hear! I know I've seen a lot of posts lately from people bummed about less than expected weight loss the first year, so hopefully they will read your story and realize that you CAN lose the weight over more time :) And, I know that if I don't lose what I want in the first year, your story will be in the back of my mind.
