  2. I had surgery 4/17/2009. I was 217 and lost about 30 the first year and was very disappointed. It was a very slow process. I continued to lose, but very slowly. I had about 5 fills and did feel much restriction. I continue to lose weight, but very slowly. Then in decemember of 2011 I had a fill and started taking Vitamins. I have not had fill since 12/2011 and been at 140 or less for the past year!! I love my lap band!!!! I wear a size 8 or 10 is great!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat! My Mom was worried about my health, but not now!!! J
