How Do U Know?

I got my first fill jan 19 and when I went back this month she said that she wants me to wait another month cause I was still losing weight every week. How do I know if I am needing a fill? I can eat my one meal and then, I am but I'm not hungry an 1 1/2 - 2 hours later???? ( I could eat but don't have to, is this normal?)

As my doctor explained to me, everyone is different on how many CC's are appropriate for that person at that time in their journey. Sounds like right now your fill is right where it should be. As you begin to lose weight your band will loosen and not be as effective. That is when you should schedule a fill. My doctor explained eventually you will hit what is so called a sweetspot. Each time though when you get a fill you take a chance for possible swelling and at worst slippage. I have had the same fill for the past year. I have maintained my weight, but I haven't been losing. I know what I am doing wrong though, and I am on my way to getting back on track. Mint it sounds to me you are right on track.

I was wondering if you knew the answer to this- If we know we are losing weight and dr. doesn't do a fill if you are losing, Should we really keep an appointment if we know we don't need a fill? Hope that makes sense.

I know what your saying, I have canceled before. I am at my so called sweetspot now, but he still wants to see me every six months. Occationally they will want to do a blood panel to make sure you are getting all your nutrition. Sounds like your doing fantastic!! I'm at a stand still, but I know what I was doing wrong. I am back on track though. I think your protein shakes and vitamins are so very important. Then we don't make the wrong decisions.
