Banded On 1/31 ... 2 Weeks Liquids

Recommended Posts

I start my two weeks of liquids tomorrow and I am already nervous as hell. Scheduled to be banded on 1/31. Anyone else survive this long on liquids without getting homicidal?

Same here. Will be banded on the 30th. I was supposed to go on the 3rd, but had to resched. I did the 2 back in December and I didn't want to kill anyone. I actually enjoyed it. I felt great. I use Jay Robb's chocolate egg white Protein Shake. I have two a day. I use Coconut Dream for my milk replacement and put 1/2 banana, 1/4 cup of blueberries and either 1/4 apple or 1/4 cup of raspberries in each shake. I use one scoop of Metagenics powder - Phytoganix (Organic Superfruits & Greens) as a fruit and veggie supplement, I take avitamin D3, Iron, Vitamin A supplement and a pro-biotic each day. I eat one meal a day which consists of 3-6 oz of Protein, a mixed green salad and 2 tsp of olive oil and of course 8 glasses of Water. That is my regime. I stay around 1000 cal. I also have 1 cup of coffee a day with 1/4 cup of organic skim milk. I am 5'5 211. Don't have a lot to lose. I've gained and lost 35-50lbs so many times. I'm exhausted.

YogaChick If my liquid diet was like yours I'm sure I would be fine as well. I am actually only allowed 3 shakes per day made with Water and unlimited non caloric liquids. No berries, bananas, yogurt and certainly no meals.

I,too, am being banded on 1/31. The shakes are a big adjustment but worth the effort. Don't give up! The rewards will be too numerous to count! 

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
