Plastic Surgery After Lapband

I've got a referral for plastic surgery for my "apron" stomach, and plan to ask about my floppy arms while I'm at it. Has anyone had or looked into plastic surgery since the lapband? I'm interested in any advise re questions to ask the surgeon, what to expect regarding pain during recovery, costs, anything to learn more about it before I take the big plunge!

I understand the cost is pretty much out of pocket, but since I have been getting a slight rash under my hanging stomach (gross!), my doctor says she is referring me to plastic surgery because it is "medically indicated." Hope that means insurance will pay for part of it! Thanks to any and all input!

I'm going in the route of a abdominoplasty. I'm in the search of a plastic surgeon at the moment. After you got to your goal weight, how long did you wait to have plastic surgery

I'm searching for a PS in the Hampton Roads' date=' VA area. Anyone know of any that have had lapband patients. Apparantely there are not alot of them out there that are familiar with band patients. I've seen 3 and neither of them have done a band patient. When I asked one of them what they would do about my port, he said "I'll just take it out" EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEekkk! I nearly ran out of his office screaming. lol HELP! I wanted to use someone familiar with the band/tubing/port, etc... Also, I'm considering having tummy and breasts done at the same time. Anyone done this?[/quote']

I'm lucky my lap band surgeon also has another office where is he is a plastic surgeon. :-) I live in Oklahoma though and that is far from you.
