So have you seen this procedure done on others? What should we expect? I am seriously nervous. I know my fiance is tire of hearing about this surgery, but I can't help it. Any information you know off hand, please share.

Misha - this is a surgery like any other. The first week or so is painful and a very hard adjustment. The worst seems to be the incision where the port site is. Remember that it does even out and after a few weeks you will adjust and feel much better. Keep your lines of communication open with your Doc and follow the rules. Don't move onto a phase II diet until you're supposed to. The clear liquids are VERY HARD to do but you can do it and you'll be fine. Please contact me if you have more questions.

Good Luck!!

Sooo glad to have found this group and especially THIS topic! My surgery is set for Fri, Jan 27 and I am nervous as well. I have never had surgery in my life. I do have 5 kids, 3 of them natural, so I should be able to handle a little pain, right? LOL...that's what I keep telling myself ;)

Best of luck to all of us!
