How fast does the fat come off?

I'm just wondering if this is normal or if I should go get a fill or what? I was banded in Dec. I loose for 2 weeks and then just sit still. I got my 1st fill in Jan. I lost for 2 weeks and now nothing for a week. So most people loose continuously or like me all at once and then nothing?

25 lbs in 2 months seems good to me. Remember we are not suposed to lose like gastric bypass people, so if your losing on an average of 1 - 2 lbs a week, that is considered good.

Talk to your doctor about the fills and if you need one.

I lose 3 pounds in a week, then I stay the same for 2 - 3 weeks then another drastic loss suddenly. its never a steady loss, always nothing then bam! 3 lbs.

So most people loose continuously or like me all at once and then nothing?

Actually, I'd venture to say that MOST people lose in spurts. Everyone from time to time will have periods of no weight lost, and they often get worried and fret about plateauing. The fact is it's NORMAL to lose that way, and in my experience at least it seems that it's during these flat times that my body dimensions do their changing.

So don't worry--you're normal. And you're doing great!! :biggrin1:

I think that's true and anyway, I'm coming to learn that I cant control it - all I can do is do what I should and know that in time it will come off - at the rate my body wants it to and in the way my body wants it to. Its really pointless to say for example "I want to be 90kg by April 1st". There's no way you can control that. Its better to say "I want to be lighter and healthier by April 1st".

I lose in spurts. I might lose 1 or 2 lbs per week for 3 to 4 weeks, then nothing for 3 weeks, then start losing again. I think the periods when you are not losing is your body catching up to the loss. For me, when I'm not losing pounds, I notice that I am losing inches instead.
