Lap Band Unfilled For Almost A Month, Having Issues, Need Advice!

Hello,

This is my first time posting. Any advice and help would be appreciated. I was banded on 12/1/08, I have lost 170 lbs, I haven't lost anything in almost a year, so most of my weight loss was during the first 2 years. A little over a month ago I got very tight and had to get completely unfilled and I'm still having issues eating. I have had an upper gi, ct scan, and an endoscopy and everything looks fine. Some days I can eat just about anything and other days I'm extremely tight and get stuck. I'm not really sure what I should do at this point. Has anyone had any similar issues? Is it possible I have a slight slip that the upper gi didn't show?

Thank you.

I doubt it, there is a simple exercise called the 5 day pouch test that takes you through a easy trip, much like

your post op diet, only in just 5 days and it's helped a number of people get back into their programs without

much effort. You can find it on this site (look in search box) or on Google. Congratulations on your

loss to date.

I am barely five days post op so I am probably not the one to be giving advice, but from what I have been reading the above post is correct.

I just wanted to cheer you on. That is a fabulous weight loss.

Keep in communication with your MD and his staff is all I can tell you.

All the best to you, hon,

Melinda
