too tight

So I am 18 months post band. I recently in May had a unfill after being very restricted as we were heading overseas. We got back for overseas and I had a fill September 13th, I think I am at approx 5.8cc, 6cc has always been too tight.

So the last 10 days I have been so tight! A normal day would be fluids only till 2pm sometimes I could get 1/2 a shake down and 1/4 of a coffee or tea. Then at approx 7pm I could have a small meal and sometimes even get bread down. Then about 1030pm nothing goes down not even Water with out some effort.

So today,

0500 sips of water about 5

0600 1/4 of a shake took an hour

0800 small coffee took an hour

sips of water but lots of slime

feeling full and lots of slime

Slime vomit, that went to brown sludge kinda like brown cottage cheese

1430 1/4 shake

1530 vomited that up and so much more slime and brown stuff

attempted sips of water about 5 went down

1700 massive slime vomit and huge amounts of brown stuff, taste acid

1900 small cup of tea

and that brings us to now feeling full ... and ill very dehydrated..

I know I clearly need a bit out... but my concern is what is the brown stuff? had anyone else ever had that?? I cant think of anything ive eaten that is brown? The most solid thing Ive eaten is mashed potato on monday night and 2 crackers.

Any hints or tips to get throught the next 24 hours thats if my doctor can see me tomorrow or friday!

xxxx

Usually if mucus is brown it is because it is blood stained - old or partially digested blood is brown rather than red.

Whatever it is if I was you I would be going to see my Dr urgently, you may have a slipped or eroded band or something similar. Hopefully not but better to be safe than sorry.

yeah, i was going to say the same thing. brown mucous is old blood, and you need to see the doctor now, especially since you have not eaten anything brownish. hope it gets better soon.

I appreciate you taking the time to give me some advice, thanks guys

So today I rang at 8am and begged the receptionist for an appointment I was desperate! This moring I was sick so dry, headache achy my mouth was so sore. I thought I'd give it one more try and attempted 3 sips of warm tea. 10 mins later I bought it up with bucket loads of mucous!!! I cried..

So I got an appt for 3pm.. I worked the whole day and struggled majorly with memory and concentration wow it was hard. I had a dizzy spell about lunch time. I asked a friend at work to put in a Iv and she gave me a 500ml bolus of saline... I felt a little better but still terrible. So my doctor thinks it started on Tuesday when I got stuck on some salad and it was irritated! he took out 2mls/2cc so I am down to 4.8. The first thing I did was drink Water.. I am going easy with soft mushy foods while it recovers. I ended up having a large sludge brown vomit in the waiting room and yes it was blood.. his given me some tablets to see if it settles down and strict orders to page the oncall do if I am no better tomorrow.

Glad you've been to see your Dr and hopefully things will now get better. Did you get told where the blood was coming from?

Keep us updated.
