Dilated Pouch

I went today for an unfill and was told that my pouch is dilated. I'm so bummed about this..I believe the reason for the dilation is being too tight for too long. I usually PB'd after eating any food with any type of texture. I'm concerned that my pouch will not go back down to normal size. My Dr also gave me a prescription for Dexilant..she said its to help me heal. Has anyone ever taken this? Also, I don't believe they completely emptied my band, she said she took out alot but I still have alot in there. Is it possible for it to heal without completely unfilling the band? Does every doctor require you to go on a liquid diet until you come back for follow up...they didn't seem to push the issue.

Hi,

I'm just learning about the band and associated issues. I'm scheduled for surgery on August 15th but want to make sure I know all possible issues. What causes a dilated pouch and how do you know you have one?
