  1. I was rebanded nearly 4 weeks ago and go in for my first fill tomorrow. However I started eating solids way too soon after surgery and can now eat normally. I feel stupid and fat and like I shouldn't have had the surgery. I'm not surprised i've gained weight just disappointed and embarrassed! Is it possible I stretched my pouch already? I'm scared. I have no restriction whatsoever and I remember with my first banding I had restriction. Also I have read other posts and am familiar with the lapband so I know I committed major user error: only the operator can control what they eat; the band is just a tool etc. Any support, words of wisdom would be appreciated.
  2. Awesome! My hubby is always very admiring of me but I can't wait til I can take his breath away like that!

Struggling, trying to get back on track

I'm with you! I lost half my body weight then started eating around the band, stretched it, went for revision and now I'm nearly 3 months post op doing the same thing--eating around the band. I'm also trying to get back on track, too, and get back to losing weight. My doctor has me on a liquid diet now for 2 weeks so hopefully I will really get it together by the time I get a fill on aug 2. I've been tracking my calories with myfitnesspal! It's a great tool!

    Dilated pouch

I was rebanded 4/28/11 after having a dilated pouch and esophagus that would not stretch back. Now again after being too tight I have stretched my pouch again! It's devastating. The doc put me on.a 2 week liquid diet that I'm on day 2 of. It is tough!! However, now I feel like I'm back on track. I had been eating all the wrong things and not exercising. My sw this time was 246 and I'm only down 7 lbs but the first time I was banded I made it to 130 lbs. I just want to feel good again! Anyone else in the same spot or doing a liquid diet at the moment?

    My Fitness Pal

Hey, will you all add me? I'm luna02525 on mfp, too! I'm on day 1 of a 2 week liquid diet due to a stretched pouch though so it won't be too much to look at! Also, how do you make your diary public?
  7. Day 1 of 14 on liquid diet! Need support!

  8. Would love to get on the wagon! Let's do this!
  9. Hi all! I am new to this site and new to this forum. I've been banded since June 2007. I weighed 252 lbs on surgery day. Since then I have been through a lot to say the least! My low weight is 130 lbs. In about January of this year I decided to see my band Dr. Things weren't "working" anymore. After battling addiction and binging and purging (post banding bulimia) I think my band had had enough! I went in and went under fluoro and Doc said I stretched my band. He said I would need to unfill and go on a strict liquid diet for 2 weeks and then come in to see if it returned to size and then get a fill. Between those visits, however, I learned I was pregnant!! It was a huge surprise and certainly not something husband and I were expecting (of course now we can not wait to meet our little man). I decided to cancel my appointment for a fill (I figured I was pregnant and didn't need one) and progress through my pregnancy eating "normally". I started off pregnancy at about 165 (gained weight after coming off amphetamines and stopped binging and purging) and now, at 30 weeks, I weigh 211! I am so embarrassed I have let myself get this big! I'm just wondering if it is possible that my pouch will shrink back to post-banding size (after I go on that liquid diet I was supposed to do in January) post-baby and I will be able to get a fill. After it has been stretched so long, can it even shrink back? Is it continuing to stretch even with no saline? Thanks in advance for any advice or stories you may have.

    Pregnant with Lap-band

Thank you! Okay now I feel a little better. I try not to worry about the weight gain (just want my baby to be healthy) but it is hard! Gonna quit being negative, focus on keeping me and baby healthy and look forward to the future!
