kinda sad/kinda happy

Since 24 May when I was banded, I have had such pain. I went back for a post-op follow up yesterday, and I am now awaiting a phone call to schedule taking out the band. I will be very happy to be out of this crazy pain, but sad that I did all this work, and no weight loss :()

Sorry to hear about your pain. Did they tell you what is causing it and why they have to remove your band?

Good luck!

Oh, I am sorry to hear. It's such a big deal to get the darn thing in but you will be out of pain (so that will be good). I'm curious too. Any idea why the pain? You don't hear too much about this here on LBT (or at least I haven't read about it).

You might consider doing a revision to the VSG either at the same time as band removal or at a later date.

I've heard of more than one person with continuous pain from the band. Please check over at ObesityHelp.com in the lap-band forum, you should find some kindred souls there. I'm so sorry you're having issues. Glad you'll be getting some relief soon.

Sorry to hear that you are not going to be able to use the band, but thankful that the pain will be gone. Please come back and let us know how you are doing. Looking forward to hearing that the pain is less and then gone.
