I had both the lapband and hernia repair 3 weeks ago. It wasn't a big deal for me. I had one incision near my belly button and one little puncture higher up. I know some doctors make as many as 5 incisions but my doctor only does one.

My doc took pictures of the hernia repair and placed a small clamp to repair the hernia that will remain in place forever. Again you might be different depending on your hernia and your doc.

Remember no lifting after surgery is very important especially with the hernia repair. That is the frustrating part for me as I live on a ranch and have horses and other critters to take care of. Asking for help is not my style but I am determined to make this work and not have complications.

Good luck and keep us posted. I am very glad I had this done, no regrets!!!
