Walking is the only exercise that you should be doing at this stage. You should wait at least 4 - 6 weeks before trying anything more energetic. You need to ensure that everything is properly healed .

my port was very tender for quite a while. I don't remember how long but I remember being concerned about it.

i'm 2 weeks out and my port is still tender. this morning i was running from a bee and literally feel backwards out the back door on to the concrete flat on my butt! im praying i didnt knock anything loose!!!! wonder if i should call my doc to be safe.

Im 8weeks out and sometimes my port still hurts. I worked in the yard all day today and by the end of the say it hurt to bend over. I can also feel my port pretty easily. Dont know if that makes a difference.

I am going to the doctor on wednesday so I was going to check then if it was normal this late or not.

One of the things you have to understand is that the port is sutured to your muscle. So now the muscle is trying to recover and so is the band. Every time you move, those muscles are as well. I hope that helps to put it into perspective. I am almost 2 years out and there are times when I can still tell the port is there and it is sore because I lean onto it or move a certain way. good luck with your journey heart.gif
