5 months post op and first fill

As the title states, I'm 5 months out (though my doc today kept saying 6 months - was banded 12/20, so that's 5). This past month or longer I've been getting hungry quicker and not feeling satisfied with what I am eating. So I brought it up at my appointment today and he decided it was time for my first fill. He only gave me 0.75cc. Not a lot and at $100, I really hope it does something but I know first fills don't always do something. I now have to be on liquids for 2 days, mushies for 2 and purès/chopped for 2 days. Sucks because I'm hungry, but it is what it is. Is it silly that I'm excited to make the baked ricotta again, because I actually really enjoyed that and haven't had it since my mushy phase.

What is in Baked Ricotta if I may ask? it is like a noodle free lasanga type of thing? ( have made this before)

Yeah, it is the ricotta, sauce and cheese. I saw someone posted it a long time ago.

Haven't had that in quite awhile, sounds like something I need to add to next weeks menu. :) I like adding in some green peppers and mushrooms into mine as well and I usually do add some ground turkey cooked and crumbled into my sauce. YUM.

May I ask why you were made to wait 5 months before a fill? I'm 2 months out and already have 4.5cc in my band. Just curious.

5 months out and your just starting to get hungry, so your going to have your first fill? WOW, your are a exception IMO.

I had a 4cc fill 1 month out, then 2 more 2cc fills each month thereafter. Now have 8cc's and only now can I say my hunger is curved, I fell a consistent restriction, and the band is doing what I expected.

I was banded 1/31. Have my next appointment/fill in 2 weeks, although I will suggest a fill is not needed.

Not made to wait, prior to this I was satisfied and went about 4 sometimes 5 hours before I started to feel hungry. Within the last 5 weeks or so is when I started to not be satisfied at meals and was getting hungry earlier.

@B-52, I'm glad I went this far, I was hoping to be one of the ones that went all the way without a fill, but I felt my loss was slowing because I felt like I was eating a little more.

On liquids yesterday, I am down 3.6 lb from yesterday, holy shit! Not sure if a little will come back once I start solids again, but it gives me a decent jump to be about 3 lb from onederland. One more day of liquids, then mushies. It seems harder ythan last immediately post op

Blah, I definitely feel a difference, but I was down like 4 lb on liquids, I knew I would go up a tiny bit when I started normal food again, but I went up like 3 lb. I'm hoping it's because prior to yesterday I was not eating enough calories (I don't lose at to low of calories) hopefully it will go back down in a day or 2.
