Good Morning,

This is something only banded people could answer properly but thought it would be appropriate here because it's something that was left out from my surgeon and I'm finding many others as well.

Headache? Pop a Tylenol, IB, or whatever you prefer. BUT after being banded? I finally asked and was told I should crush anything I take. I'm guessing we would absorb it better but what if I don't have a handy pill crusher with me and I'm desperate. Will I regret not crushing my pill?

Thanks!

My surgeon's office told me that as long as your band isn't super tight you should be able to take some very small pills without having to crush them(all of my daily meds fall in this category). As far as pain relief, I stick to liquid pain relievers (I keep bottles at home and at work) but there are some disolvable pain relievers that you could use. I don't take a lot of tylenol, etc so maybe someone else has some better suggestions.

You can crush a pill with something that u keep in ur pantry. Put the pill n a ziplock bag, seal it and roll over it with a can of Soup, veggies anything; and it will crush it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
