So my surgery is this Friday! I'm on liquid diet day 4...3 more to go....any suggestions on the liquids? i'm doing good so far. Anyone have caffiene?

Drink plenty of water in addition to your full liquids. I was told to avoid caffeine since it's a diuretic, but I don't think a cup every once in a while will hurt. Good luck!

My surgery is Friday and I am on fifth day preop liquid diet. The first 2 1/2 days I almost cried several times because I was so hungry!!! I am having caffiene and I am only allowed clear liquids...no veggies or even one small meal. I have lost 10 lbs the first 5 days which gives me the inspiration to continue being strict on my diet. Same here...im only on clear liquids and ive lost 5 lbs so far...very exciting! Good luck to you as well! I'm nervous. Are you getting hunger pains?

My surgery is this Friday too. I am on Liquid Protein shakes and my doc is letting us doctor them up a bit with splenda, banana, peanut butter, etc. We also get to have a 300 calorie meal. Been doing this for about 10 days now. Down about 5 lbs. already. So far so good. 2 more days to go. Good LUCK!!!!
