Good or bad?

I got a fill a week ago. At first it was too tight as I could not get Water down (while still in the doctor's office). My Dr. took some out (.4CC).

Now a week later, I am not sure if I need some more out.

The good:

- liquids are no problem

- I get full on a 1/4 cup of food

- I do not get hungry for 3-5 hours

The bad - I quickly feel some mild to moderate pain after 1/4 cup of food.

I have another appointment with my Dr. this week. I am not sure if I should get another unfill. If my stomach is still healing, I may be at my sweet spot. On the other hand, I don't want pain every time I eat. I also think I need more than 1/4 cup of food to get the nutrition I need.

Advice, experiences, perspectives?

Well... you need to get your protien in (not just liquid form) and too tight can lead to food getting stuck that can lead to throwing up which could cause your band to slip. Not sure if you can get all the Vitamins and minerals you need in 1/4 cup of food. The band seems to work best for people who find the perfect restriction. Those that are too tight seem to resort to eating "slider" foods that are usually higher in calories which leads to little or no weight loss. This would be best decided with your Dr. Good Luck to you.

I have the same problem and I am going today for an unfill. I can only eat bites and I am vomiting that up immediately. My husband almost called 911 because he thought I was having a heart attack the way I was holding my chest. My poor 3 year old son doesn't want me to eat because food makes me sick. Hopefully everything works out for you:) and me

If you cant eat more than a quarter of a cup, I think you're way too tight! You cannot survive on that 3 times a day, you cannot possibly be well nourished on that and if you're actually feeling discomfort or pain, then its definitely too tight. Your body will end up driving you towards high fat, high sugar slider foods to prevent starvation.
