60-80g per day usually works for the average woman. I've eaten up to 165g a day. I'd stick to 15-20g per meal, if possible.

I average between 60-70g per day

I forget where I read it, but the general recommendation seems to be 1gm per kilo of ideal weight if you're average bone structure. If you're large boned, you can add 6gm and if you're small boned, subtract 6 grams. My ideal weight is about 140 lbs and I'm small boned so that puts me at about 57gm. Since excess Protein can have a glucogenic effect on the body and act like carbs, I do monitor my protein pretty closely and stay at about 60gm per day.

.

Hot button topic. You'll get answers all over the map on this... I try to stay as close to 1gm per pound of lean body mass as I can.

How much do you exercise? How much do you weigh? How old are you? And how tall are you? Using these variables you can calculate your daily protein intake. There are online calculators that do this for you, just do a quick search for 'protein intake calculator' or something like that. Honestly though, I would pay a visit to the nutritionist because you can get this answered plus a whole lot more information about diet and nutrition. It's really worth the trip, and it doesn't cost too much for a half hour or one hour appointment.

My nutritionist recommends 60-80 grams a day.
