How long should I wait before having a TT??

I'm down to 178. I only have about 30 more pounds to lose.

Should I wait until I'm at goal before doing my TT??

I've had 3 kids so belly is awfully flabby and stretched out. I'd like to have the smoothest flattest stomach possible:)

I think it is OK and even a good thing to start now interviewing possible surgeons...it will help you make plans. That being said, I think you should be closer to your goal before surgery. Many PS want your weight stable for several months before they operate so fat distribution is done shifting. It is exciting and I am happy for you.

Hi:

I was about ten pounds from goal when I had my tummy tuck, but had been holding steady for about 6 months. If you want your tummy to be the flattest and tightest I would wait until you hit goal. My plastic surgeon wants patients to be at a steady weight for about 6 months before she'll do a tummy tuck because she wants to make sure your nutrition levels are good to make for the best possible outcome for healing.

Best wishes to you.

Thanks ladies.

Also I'm wondering, how much weight do you lose from the tummy tuck itself? I mean I know it won't be a huge amount but all that skin does weigh something right?
