Is this restriction?

I had my first fill last Thursday, 5 days ago. He put in about 2 cc's.....Since then I have had very little appetite and can eat small amounts at a time. I definitely feel like I must chew carefully now. I'm wondering if this is actual restriction I'm feeling, or is this just due to swelling ? Wondering if this is typical and what I can expect for the next month or two until I need a fill again? Thanks !!!! :) :)

I know what you mean. I was just banded a week ago, and there are times when i know I need to stop but its more of a bloated feeling than a 'full' feeling. In fact, I can still feel a hunger pain when i 'feel' I shouldn't eat more. So I don't know if its swelling, gas, to much liquid or what. I can certainly 'eat' more now than a week ago, and I've only dropped a couple of lbs this week. I was hoping I wouldn't need a fill like the few lucky ones but I can already see that's not going to happen.

the swelling should be gone by the 2nd day after a fill so what you're feeling could very well be restriction.

just be careful of how much you eat and how fast because the full feeling sneaks up on you!
