Hello...newbie!

Hi all. As you can tell I am from New Jersey. Well originally NY but been in Jersey for almost 6 years now.

I had my first meeting with my doctor on August 16. My insurance co required a 6 month dr supervised diet. Didn't require me to lose weight, actually said some people gain. They just want to make sure you can change your eating habits. Well if I didn't lose weight on it, how would they know that? Now I find out they are one of the last companies to require this (I'm sure their policy will change next week since I finished my 6 month diet).

I went on Weight Watchers and as of today, lost 59lbs since Sept. 1. Went through all the testing which does take a toll. But I am finally at my surgery week. Doing the 2 week starvation diet now. Only allowed 3 oz Protein and 1 cup vegetables per meal per day. Only snack is broth and Jello. They said if It wasn't enough I could increase those portions which I found I've needed to do.

My surgery is scheduled for this Wednesday, 2/9 and I'm excited to get it over with. Seems like I've been waiting forever since I made the decision to go ahead with it.

Any hints anyone has I would love to hear.

Going to go read some of the boards and see what I can learn....
