How long Post Op did you start doing aerobics again?

I teach Zumba 4 times a week currently.. and I'm really afraid that it's going to take me forever to get back to teaching my classes once i am banded. I can keep it at low impact, and reduce ab work.. but when i ask my surgeon he tells me "a few weeks". I guess I'm looking for a more difinitive answer, and maybe some personal stories if you returned to aerobics!

I had my first Zumba class ever 3 wks after surgery and was fine other than being out of shape and trying to figure out those moves. It didn't hurt my incisions or stomach at all. I probably could have done it in my second week but it was that TOM and I just wanted to make sure I was good and healed because I didn't really know what to expect in the class. By the way I love Zumba it's so much fun!!

Good luck!!

My surgeon has told me 2 weeks and I can return to exercising. =) I'm not there yet though or I'd help more.
