i feel like im going to scratch my midsection raw! is there something that you all use or have heard of to make that inevitable itching that happens with healing wounds a little less crazy-making?

Try massaging a bit of baby oil on them. It also gets rid if the sticky stuff from the steri-strips. You might want to ask your doc first though - this is just what mine suggested.

I've been using cocoa butter on the skin around them; helped immensely!

A cold compress (wet or dry) will short circuit the nerves temporarily and stop the itching.

I had the same problem! First off don't do anything that is going to make you sweat. That made mine so much worse. I also put benadryl cream on them and took benadryl at night. My dr said that was ok but you might want to call yours bc they seal the wounds with different stuff.
