Prayers

Please keep me and my dalmation, Schnapps, in your prayers today. Her medical issues are getting worse and its time for her to be put to rest. I want her life to be ended while she has dignity.

I adopted her as an abused dog 11 1/2 years ago and we have had a very good life together. She never did learn to ride motorcycle but has been the best companion.

She will be joining her grandfather this afternoon. He used to love to rub his feet on her back so I can guess what they will be doing tonight. Its been a tough week for both of us but I think this is the best way to start our new year. Celeste

I know exactly what u are going through. I am soooo sorry. I pray God be with you in this time. I lost my best friend Max in 2001 he was 10 and a wonderful dog. I bet he and Schnapps are somewhere in heaven having a ball!!!

Celeste, I got your email and wanted to also post here that I am so sorry that you are going through this. I will miss her when I come to visit again.

You are in my thought and prayers.

I just went thru the exact same situation a few months ago! Same breed (mine was deaf and trained to hand commands), same circumstances of former home, same loving feeling for my dear pet Dal and same need to "put her to rest". My heart goes out to you. It it hard at first, really hard. I was there with her when...well you know. I am crying right now about it, but it does get better. I still miss her soooo much! Much love to you, it's difficult.

I too lost an 18 year old pal a little over a year ago. Coming to the decision to help him leave behind his pain and illness was very difficult, but necessary. I know fully what you are going through and wish you all the best.

I'm so sorry you had to part with your beloved friend. If you can, take comfort in the wonderful life you gave him and all the love the two of you shared. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for all of your support. This board and the chat room kept me going through the long weekend. I started hiring home remodeling help yesterday. I am going to get the projects done that are difficult with an animal living there now - that way when I am ready to be a doggie mom again, my house will be ready. Thanks again. Celeste

Hi, I just read your post and I am so sorry for your loss. I have three dogs and cat and a turtle, they are like additional kids to me. It amazing how close you can get to your pets. I will keep your in my thoughts and prayers.
