I have been reading the different threads for months about how long it takes to get approved, the tests that you have to get pre op, and seeing all the approved threads. I could not wait til I could type that I am approved and a surgery date. Today is that day. I scheduled my surgery for Nov 23 at the hospital I work at. It is nice to be able to have the surgery and have seen the surgeon actually perform the surgery. I am a surgical tech and have chased this road for over a year. Struggled with my wait for 6 years and am ready to live my life and be able to chase after my children. Hope everyone gets their day to say they are approved and wish everyone luck.

congrats firebug610. i like you can't wait to post my approval, and surgery date. you must have some great insurance! i have to do a 6 month program first. i am 4 months into it. so excited!!

I have to do the atkins diet starting the 15 I have bcbsil and had to do the 6 month counseling and then go through the testing. But I defiently can't wait to see other people posting their approval and surgery date it is such a good feeling knowing in a few weeks I am starting my journey to the next chapter of my life

I received my approval on Monday and schuduled my surgery for Nov 15th. It is very exciting and scary!!! Congrats!!
