Did anyone get dizzy and shaky during preop diet? Today is my third day on the pre op diet.

i was only on it for 1 day before surgery and i didnt have a problem but you are doing it longer:cursing:

The first few days can be rough; your body, however, will start to draw on the glycogen stores in your liver, which will stabilize your blood sugar and help relieve those symptoms.

It's weird, but it gets better with time. It takes a while for the body to pull on those reserves.

ON day 3 I woke up dizzy and called in sick. I had a Protein shake and some more sleep and went to work. After that day it got better.

sugar free Jello was my salvation as it filled up the nawing hunger I had. Be sure to drink enough protein, that makes a big difference.
