Moblilization

Hello Please help.

I am scheduled to have the lapband surgery on December 15th. RIght before Christmas. My concern is am I going to be able to move around for the holidays. I usually cook a big Breakfast for my family, I know I am not going 2 be able to eat but I would like to cook for them on the 25th. Will I be able to do so?

that will be 10 days after surgery. yes i think you will be ok. i was cooking 10 days out and no problem at all. does anyone normally help you or do you cook all alone? i'd ask someone to help me out so i didn't feel so stressed out.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I usually get help with cooking. I am glad because I dont want to fill so overwhelmed. Do u know if I will be on soft foods by then or on liquids?

Your diet depends completely on your doctor's regimen. At 10 days out, I was allowed to have pureed Proteins. (ETA: Wait. I think Day 10 is when I switched to soft, moist Protein. Even better!)

At 10 days out, I was really beginning to feel like myself again--I think you'll be okay for a big Christmas breakfast, especially if you have a bustling house with plenty of people to help
