Gall Bladder is coming out.... info please..

Hi - I posted a few days ago and heard back from 2 ppl (THank You) I am definately going to have my GB removed :smile2: I just want to hear back from anyone who has had to have their GB out after they have had a band put in. How would you compare the recovery? Did you have your band emptied and have to start over with fills? Any questions you would ask the surgeon? Thanks for the advice, info and help.

I'm not sure that my story will help at all! But here it goes...

I had my gall bladder taken out 4 months before I had my band put in. The surgeries are very similar (similar in the fact of where they cut you, and blowing your stomach up with gas, etc). But in my case, my band surgery was 100 times easier than my gall bladder removal! It was not bad at all. I was more sore with my gall bladder surgery. But all in all, it's a very simple and quick surgery. I think I was in surgery for an hour with my gall bladder. I hope all goes well! You are in my prayers for a successful surgery! Good luck!!

Just to follow up. I saw my surgeon today and I do not have to have my band unfilled. In fact I got .5cc today!

Thanks for the replies. I go in for GB surgery next Thursday.
