Same here...our Teacher of the Year was on the chopping block. Actaully, it would have been her getting laid off, but she has a supplemental degree and now she is teaching 8th gr. LA. If not for that degree, she would be laid off. It goes by district senority and No Child Left Behind mandates about being Highly Qualified to teach in your field!

Congratulations Laura!! Although February 11th is a much better day to be born.....my personal favorite!!

Well, off to get Gia. I was temping for a couple weeks and signed her up for the YMCA after-school program. The temp thing ended Monday after work, but I am letting Gia stay in the after-school care and I get more done at home. Tomorrow is their last day of school and Friday's care will be at the actual YMCA building so she can swim, etc. And I am having my last two days of peace and quiet........

Looks like it might be a nicer day today. It sure was rainy, dreary and very stormy yesterday. I have some ferns to plant and hope to get them in the ground today if the rains hold off.

Ethan arrives in a little bit and will be here until 6:30 tonight. Longgggggggg day, but hopefully we can get in the pool for a while this afternoon.

Off to update the countdown. I have to have extra time in my day for that task now..

Good afternoon, Violets..

Just finished my first practice and now off to the second of the evening. The third one is at 8 p.m. Sometime in here I have to figure out some supper. Ethan is here till 6:30, and I am done at 6:15 so hopefully will be here when he leaves.

It turned out to be a beautiful day and Grampa and Ethan spent some time in the pool. I plan on doing that tomorrow.

I planted a couple of Chinese money plants the other day and today planted one of the Ostrich ferns. When I turned my back and was planting wildflower seeds in a couple of pots, Ethan proceeded to dig up those things I had just planted.. arghhhhhhhhhh We talked about not shoveling in Gramma's flower garden. I have to get that boy busy with mulching instead of digging!!

Off I go to the next rehearsal. The fun never ends!!
