What was I thinking?

Okay so I planned to spend 5 days in Cancun before my surgery. I arrived today and my surgery is on Friday. I was fine at home with the pre-op diet, but since I have been here for 6 hours...all I can think about is eating...anything. I even emailed my doctor to see if I could have some plain baked whitefish...seeing that it is high in protein and low in calories and fat. Mexican food is my favorite, and I came 5 days ahead on a fully liquid pre-op diet...what was I thinking????:)

:thumbup:Just try to keep your goals in mind. That's gotta be tough! Try keeping yourself preoccupied, away from food, which will be hard.

I gained 8 lbs in between visits. My very first appt was in Nov 08. I chickened out and finally decided what to do. I saw her again in Apr 2010, and she said I gained 8 lbs. I didn't think that was too bad, since I usually gain about 10 per year, but she wants me to lose 10 lbs by June 7th. I've lost about 5 so far, gotta keep on truckin! I just hope I lose it by then. Surgery date is June 24th.

Good luck! You can do it!
