I Just have to say how excited i was to find this site with real arizona people!!! You mean Im not the only person in arizona to be having this done haha kidding. My name is Andrea, I live in Chandler, and I am scheduled to have my surgery the day after Thanksgiving and hope that I can come to you guys for support!!! Im being banded by Dr. Arturo Rodriguez in Monterrey anyone else here have Dr. Rod??? Im a closet bandster, only my husband knows!! And the fact that I will be in Tucson with my mother, THE DAY BEFORE I HOP ON A PLANE TO MEXICO!!!! My mother is what I considered one of my best friend and she always just worrys sick about me, I dont want to stress her out, maybe I will end up telling her. ANYWAYS, I just wanted to introduce myself and hope I can get to know some of you a little more as I begin my journey!!

Hello everyone. I was just banded on 12/2/05 by Dr. Ortiz in TJ. I feel great. Im in Mesa (BTW) I would love to join everyone for the lunch. Maybe we could find a place that is more healthy or has a wider variety of soups (just a suggestion) Anyway....today is my first day back at work after bein banded. Im still on the all lquid diet so wish me luck!

I am totally open to any restaurant we can meet at. Chili's is the only place I know of in that area. Anybody else know of a good restaurant in Tempe that has easy access to the freeway?!?

Andrea, you are VERY smart to not have told anyone. Seriously. If I could do it again, I wouldn't have said a word to anyone. Very funny about your daughter telling the people at the dance studio. Kids are too honest aren't they?!?!

I am open to lunch in January and the Vegas Bash!! Sounds fun!!

If you are curious about last years bash just go to "search" and type in VEGAS BASH--PICTURES. you will see how much fun we had!! food and games and We also have a clothing exchange while we are there. What great fun it was! It is "tentatively" scheduled for the last weekend in August.

As for the place to eat in Jan. Just please make sure it is easy access because I am disabled and walk with crutches. Also easy access for driving because I am a country bumbkin and don't like your traffic down there!

Ok you got me there??????? I am not sure the names or numbers of roads or interstates. But when I go there I usually am going to Chandler Heights so I go through Payson to Ellsworth. Does that help? I HATE TAKING THE SALT RIVER CANION!

OOOHHH, okay so you'd be coming in from that direction which would make a lot of sence to meet on the east side of town.

Where ever, just point me in the right direction and you will see my smiling face.

Andrea - We have several AZ Lap banders who live on the West side. Tempe is central to everything. I personally would LOVE to meet on the East side since it's closer to me, however; I think there are several who would have to end up driving a very long distance & I'd like to make it fair for them.

We'll make sure to find one that's easy access to the freeway for our cute country bumpkin!!
