Getting Started

Hey everyone! I am just starting my journey. I had my consult on the 28th of April. I have to see the nutritionist and therapist a few times and waiting on the Dr. to get my records from my doctor and get everything approved by my insurance.

I dont have a lot of weight to lose to some people but to me it is a lot. I am barely 5'3 and I am 206. I have lost some weight from being sick. I was 210. I am mostly doing this for health reasons. I have an irregular heart beat and my cardiologist wants me under weight. He said that some people cant handle extra pounds. Just a pound or two will hurt them. I also have been dx with Fibromyalgia and told I have symptoms of Lupus and MS but tests come back negative. So they think its just the weight.

I have dieted for the past 5 years just to put weight on. I started out at 150 5 years ago. The most I have lost was not even 10 lbs. I am currently on BP pills, diabetes meds, vit b12, vit D and weight loss pills. I have a spastic colon, swelling, heel spurs, pre diabetes and a number of other things.

I am not too stoked on the shakes. I have a hard time with them. I am also lactose intolerant.

I am excited and nervous but I am also guessing myself because I have people telling me I am just not trying hard enough to lose the weight. UGH

Anyone else in my situation?
