Anyone tried this stuff?

BSN Lean Dessert Protein powder? Anyone? Its not a bad price and their flavors sound good. But at the end of the days it still a Protein Powder, so I'd love some input from anyone that has tried it.

Also, what is your favorite Syntax nectar flavor?

I actually had some of the chocolate Fudge pudding flavor mixed with skim and a few frozen strawberries for Breakfast today and it was de-vine!

I have the fuzzy navel flavor of the nectar which is good but I have a hard time mixing it with anything but oj. Mixing it in Water makes it taste like tang. Oj + nectar + frozen strawberries = nummy but easily tiresome (at least for me).

Hope this helps!

I haven't tried any of that stuff. The shakes make me sick on my stomach because of the consistancy...this a pre-surgery issue. I've been going to The Vitamin Shoppe and Vitamin World and gettting their Potein drinks that are like Gatorade. I really like them and they are a great option if you are sick of shakes. They can get expensive, but if you get a membership card to either of those stores you automatically get a discount from that point on.

I got a sample pack of syntrax nectar and I hate them! Maybe mixed with juice they would be better, but mixed with water thay are horrible! I was so disappointed because they sounded like a good alternative to always drinking the other kinds of shakes.

I did like the cappuchino and vanilla creme flavors that were sent with the fruit flavored shakes.

I'm with you. I too, ordered the sample pack. Couldn't stand any of them.

I had a sample of this in the Peanut Butter and banana flavour, it just about made me vomit. It was really thick and gluggy and hideously sweet. I cannot for the life of me see the point of making a supposed "health supplement" taste so sweet.

I dont like Protein shakes as a general rule though, apart from one Musashi one you can get here, which I will very occasionally have for breakfast.

I got two samples of the Lean Dessert with my bariatric eating sample pack. My husband tried the chocolate coconut one and said it was nasty. I haven't gotten the courage up to eat the cinnamon roll one yet. I hope it's not as bad as he made it out to be, because that sounds like a flavor that has a lot of potential.

I like the cinnamon roll and the banana nut bread. Vita coast has the best price.. like 14 bucks for a 18 scoop container. I love them... But some of the other flavors I tried are nasty... they seem bitter... I would go to bariatric Eating and buy the sample pack.. they send me a ton of flavors to try...

I have the cinnamon roll. It is ok. Everyone's taste is different. I use more milk or water if it seems too thick or sweet also crushed or shaved ice helps. I agree with getting the samples, if you can find them. Some people on here love the protein shakes that I hate and vice versa.
