Not Loosing Since 1st Fill

I was wondering if anyone out there has had No weight loss after having a fill. I had my first fill almost a month ago. I was told by Dr.Rumbaut that he put in 2cc in a 4cc band. Some days I have great restriction & cant keep much down & other days I can eat but always much less than before I ever had the band The scale just I'sent moving. Still at -19 and Im starting to feel like Im failing at this. Before I was ever banded I could loose about 40lbs in 3 1/2 to 4 months. Ill be 3 months post-op on the 22nd & no change. Please Help

I was banded 9/19 and had my first fill on 10/24 (2cc in 5cc band) and feel no additional restriction and no weight loss since fill, I have however had a 7% body fat reduction and the office says to focus on that.

I am having another fill on 11/28. The office also said it's very common to need another fill (or more). Don't be discouraged, you've only just started on the road, and it's a long one, just try and stick to the diet and keep exercising! Good luck!

I understand, as I too have been stalled for several weeks and I know I am eating smaller portions. I am going to the gym today. In my mind I'm trying not to get discouraged because I know that if I am eating less I will eventually loose weight. I have had other times when I had no loss for a few weeks and then pow...down 6 or 7. Focus on eating the right things and it will all work out.

Oh thank goodness, I'm not the only one. I'm trying to ignore the slight GAIN when I weighed myself today. I have 3.5ml in a 10ml band. I know I know that this is only a tool and without restriction it doesn't work. In the meantime I feel like I'm on a diet which was the whirly gig I want to get off...and half my loss was the liquid diet PRE surgery. It's very frustrating and you are not alone... :)

Do we have another crop of Turtles? I was banded in March, and I've had 4 fills. I'm down a grand total of 27 pounds. No where near the expected 1-2 pounds per week. I've had 4 fills and I need a 5th.

Some of us are just slow losers. It doesn't make it any easier, but I think knowing that other people lose slowly helps. http://lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=10174 is the offical slow loser thread for the Turtle Tribe. It can be so disheartening when we see people complaining that they've only lost 50 pounds in 3 months, and expect that they should lose more.

You are so not the only one. I didn't have real restriction until my 4th fill. Don;t hold off on getting them, if you don't feel enough restriction make a fill appointment right away. I held off and didn't lose anything for 6 months. I hope this helps, the band doesn't work without the fill in it, so fill er up.
