How Often Do You Eat?

I'm four days out with a goal from the program's nutritionist to eat roughly 1,000 calories a day with about 65 grams of protein. I'm in the "Full Liquids" stage. I made a shake this morning of 8oz skim milk, 8oz FF yogurt, and a scoop of protein powder (Total caloried - 260; Protein - 23g). I was able to take in 1 cup over a half hour period and at times it was uncomfortable. It was two hours ago. I'm not hungry but wondering how often should I eat and how much?

I shoot for every 3-4 hours, but I'm not able to get anywhere near that down...I'm lucky to get about 2-3 oz of a protein shake down before I start feeling extremely full...

4 days out from sugery? Be happy your full! lol! You;ll be starving before you know it! I was hungry from the get go. I am over 1 yr out & I say it's probably 3hrs after I eat I get hungry. Sometimes more some less, HTH

I am 1 week and 1 day out from surgery. I didn't feel hungry for the first 4-5 days, then out of nowhere hunger struck! I made sure I ate atleast 3-4 times/day. Here's a tip-Greek yogurt. It is low calorie/fat and one thing of the greek yogurt has 16gms of protein. I use this for my smoothies. Also, boost shakes are just enough to fill me up and have 16gm protien a piece. Good luck.
