Not so clear liquids...

I start my Clear liquids tomorrow in anticipation of my surgery on Monday. So I did a little experiment today. I made a broth with a beef bouillon cube and Water, and added some unflavored Protein powder to it.

But it gave the broth like an opaque latte color. Not clear at all. Does it still count as a clear liquid? If not, then where am I supposed to get my protein from?

I should also mention it was a Protein Powder, not whey. Does that make a difference??

I think the purpose of a liquid diet so close to your surgery date is to clear out your digestive system to prepare your body for the surgery and anethesia. The liquid is to keep you hydrated. if your surgery is tomorrow, don't worry about missing your protein for a day or two. Follow your surgeon's pre-op instructions exactly, or he/she may cancel your surgery.
