Just wondering, I totally understand why you would have gas/gas pains after the surgery. Just curious as to how the gas leaves your body as it not IN your stomach or intestines. These are the things that keep me up at night

Great question--I was wondering the same thing. I am walking and taking lots of Gas X - -this is helping some, but not with the gas under the rib cage, shoulder, etc.

I had the same problem when I had a c-section. What I did was gently tap on my stomach to help me pass the gas. My doc also told me to use suppositories to help. I hope this helps!

It's not a crazy question at all. Most of the gas diffuses from your abdominal cavity into your intestines and is expelled via that route. It can rumble around in there for a while first, hence weird referral pains.
