Hi: I was banded Oct 11th and was worried about the same thing, I have been coughing and sneezing due to hayfever, allergies etc. I asked my doctor if this would cause a problem with the band and he said "no". Take care!!

Flower,

a couple of months ago I remember reading about someone that coughed ALOT (from allergies maybe?) and she blamed that for a slipped band. Im like you, a little scared and cautious when it comes to "coughing spells".

just never know.

I'm coughing like mad too. Did you see your doc for meds?

I did, and I called the surgeon to make sure the meds I was given was okay. I'm still coughing like a bufoon. I try to go easy but some times you just can't help it and you cought w/all your might.

Good luck !!!

Eileen, please be CAREFUL! I think it was Muffinbirdie that had a slipped band from excessive, forceful coughing. So it can happen. A bottle of robitussin (sp?) is alot cheaper then a replaced band!
