Just got my surgery date!

Recommended Posts

I just found out that my surgery date is going to be Feb. 25th. I find myself, all of a sudden, extremely nervous. Is this normal? I don't have a very good support network around me.

Congrats on the surgery date!!

Its completely normal. When I got my surgery date, I was suddenly very nervous & anxious. The time will fly by and before you know it, it will be surgery time! And I'm sorry you don't have a strong support group, but this website is great for that. Believe me, any questions or anything, someone here has an answer for you! Good luck!

Congratulations on scheduling you sugery!

I would agree that nerves and jitters are completely normal. You are having surgery after all! :-) But fear not, the time will pass quickly and I'm sure you'll be in good hands. Maybe even try to enjoy the excitment a little, as this is the first step on a great adventure.

The boards are great for support, whether you post or read. I find it so helpful to know that no matter what band question/problem I have, someone on here has probably already asked about it. And if not, a quick post gets plenty of help. It's nice to know there are others in the same boat and only a few mouse clicks away.

Congrats again!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
