When I lost 150 lbs years ago my hair fell out in clumps and then slowed down. Are you taking Vitamins, and getting enuf Protein? Talk to your doctor to determine what you need to do. Its very important to have good communication with your doc.

Good luck !!!

Canadian,

I did a search on this site using the words "Hair loss". There are several threads (too many to copy and paste the links) that have wonderful feedback regarding this subject. Hairloss is VERY commen for us.

Also, my OB's office recommended a viatmin called Biotin, for hair and nails. You can find it at Walmart - cheap!

Good luck -

I have been wondering why my hair is falling out!!!! Now I know! Biotin? Have you tried it? I thought I was going to need Rogaine for women or something like that!!

I never had trouble with losing hair right after surgery, but at just about a year out I started losing, and when it happened I knew I wasn't getting enough protien.

More than the hair, I'm interested in the Biotin for the nails. I'd never heard before today that it was good for that. Mine are SO brittle. I'll be pickin' some of that up!
