Is it pronounced twenty ten, or two thousand ten

Someone on the news says the correct pronunciation is twenty-ten. I object simply on principle, I guess. This same person also said we should have been saying ot 9, for instance.

What do you think??

It's along the lines of "Is the Glass half full or half empty?" I guess it all depends on the person. Personally I say it's two thousand ten.

Twenty-ten just doesn't roll trippingly off the tongue! LOL!

I prefer two-thousand ten.

No matter which is used, they will pronounce "ten" as "tin" down here and it drives me crazier. :smile2:

I guess it beats what some will have to hear in 30 years for an entire decade. Two-thousand fahty through two-thousand fahty-nine

My screenreader says twenty-ten. I can't stand hearing it say that so I'm going to have to change it.

I'd do the same if I lived in Texas, or Mississippi, where I was born, in the fahties! LOL!

I am a twenty-ten gal....

What did they do in 1910...I doubt they said 19 hundred and ten or one thousand nine hundred and ten....

to me, twenty-ten, sounds better
