Very Frustrated!!

I'm in month 3 of my 6 month waiting period (because of my insurance). I have finished all of the required testing, psych, cardiologist, sleep study, gastro, blah, blah, blah and I have 3 more nutrition classes to go. I have been eating and gaining like crazy!!!! I think I'm losing my mind. I have a 39 BMI and was told that I can't lose too much weight before banding or I'll be denied, but I also can't gain any weight or my insurance won't cover it - I think I've gained about 8 pounds in the last few days and I'm getting very frustrated because I'm of control!! Just looking for some words of wisdom or others in this same predicament. Thanks.

Did your insurance tell you that they won't cover it if you gain weight? Or are you just guessing? That was not the case with my insurance....I only lost 10 lbs over the 6 month period, I even gained weight some months....I totally FEEL your frustration....As far as advice...maybe just try a low carb diet where you're eating lots of lean protein and veggies, and try to cut out junk and sugar and bread, etc. I have found if you can stick with that for a few days a lot of the cravings do go away....good luck to you!!

To lose the weight fast, do 2 low car/low cal protein shakes a day and a healthy low carb meal for dinner. I think it should be lunch when you eat a meal because you have more opputunity to burn those calories versus eatting at dinner then going to bed but that's up to you. Hope that helps.

Don't give up!

I"m sorry about your insurance but before you drive yourself crazy you should really find out forsure that they will deny you for losing or gaining. That way you kmow forsure your limits.

Good luck!
