private hospital? lapband

hi all - am seriously thinking of getting a lapband. i feel disgusted with myself and need some good incentive.

i was wondering, does anyone know of a good private hospital in the UK where i can get this lapband done? i prefer paying a tad more and getting good service rather than getting it down at some crappy hospital. i would appreciate your help

thanks a lot, jen

Depends on where you live, I had Dr Toh in Portsmouth, I had very good service and he was recommended by my doctor.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi, I had my lap band done a week ago through the NOSC and was referred to my local hospital - Gloucester Royal. Everything was great - private room, well looked after etc. The support I get from the NOSC is brilliant. A phone call each day with advice and support from them and I can ring at anytime (24 hours) if I need to speak to a doctor for an emergency. I had to do this as I ended up with a localised infection in my arm due to the canular. This is apparently most unusual - I was just one of the unlucky ones.

Hope this helps.
