Hi everyone who is at their personal goal!

Would y'all mind posting how long it took? I'm really curious!

My personal goal is 98 lbs weight loss. I really hope I can do it in a year!

I was 52 when banded 250 on 7/17/07 - by 7/24/08 I weighed 105 less - So you can lose it in a year..

But again alot depends on your metabolisim - what you choose to eat to maintain a healthy eating plan (meaning this isn't a diet - I am eating the same way I ate 12/07) and exercise..

Good Luck to you..

I lost almost 100lb to get to my goal and a BMI of 22. I went from about 245, to 150, BMI 36 to 22. It took me about 2 and a half years - so a long time.

There's reasons for that. For me, giving up dieting and any dieting related behaviour was what I felt I needed most. So my approach was not to diet. I dont/didnt count calories, Protein etc I dont log, I eat what I want to eat rather than diet (luckily I usually choose healthy foods). So my weight loss was relatively slow.

But I'd lost about 70 lb of that by the end of the first year, so within a year I was within a healthy weight range, it took me a year and a half to lose another 30lb or so. I've now been trying to lose 10lb for over 2 years, lol.

I am not at goal but close. I was banded 06-17-09 and hope to be at goal by my Mom's birthday on april 4th. Wish me luck. Good Luck to you too!

im not at goal but i have lost aprox 100LBS(i have another 70 or so to go) i started my pre opdiet 12/26/08 and surgery on 1/19/09 i count from before my preopdiet
