  1. I had surgical revision of my port a week afo after it flipped. It was in the hospital and I was put into a twilight sleep but not general anesthesia, then they used local anesthesia at the incison site.
  2. Hello KC Bandsters. I guess I am the oddball here. I was banded Aug. 3, 2010 at the Minimally Invasive Surgery Hospital in Lenexa by Dr. Saberwhal. Their regimen is quite a bit different than what most of you have described. I had some complications with the port site also. They resolved and I went in on Sept. 15th for my first fill. My port had flipped. I had surgery again last Monday (a week ago). I will see the doc again on Oct. 13th, maybe for my first fill. Meanwhile, I have lost 37 pounds. I am seldom hungry except for "head hunger". Will weigh again this PM and hope it is good news. Have a great day.
  3. I didn't get my date until all of the tests and consultations were done and the reports back to the surgeon's office.
  4. Hi all. I was banded Aug. 3, 2010. I weighed 285 lbs. I had an "uncontrolled pop" at the port site about 10 days post op. It was drained and I was on antibiotics. I now weigh 250 lbs. I went in for my first adjustment on Sept. 15 and found out my port had flipped. I had surgery for port revision yesterday. I will hopefully have my first fill in 2 weeks. Wishing success to all of us.
