  1. Thank you for everything. And I'm so sorry to hear about your kidney stone ordeal, but Glad to hear your stent has been removed and you are on the mend. Hopefully I'll drop a bunch of water weight once the stent is removed in 4 weeks.
  2. Most of us are (or have been) addicted to food, but what other addictions/ obsessions do you have? I'll go first.... I'm addicted to/ obsessed with: •constantly checking my phone throughout the night •over-exercising •buying new socks •gardening •cruising/vacationing I'll try to think of more and add them later.
  3. Unfortunately, besides the pain, I've also gained about 8-10 pounds in the last week. I guess it is due to all of the swelling, etc. [emoji22]

  5. Thank you so very much. I appreciate it! And you are so right!!! Once pain gets under control you feel like an entirely different person. Unfortunately I'm still struggling to get the kidney stone pain to a more manageable level.
  6. Thank you all so much. I'm still in a TON of pain even though I'm taking a pain pill every 4 hours. I actually just passed another separate stone about an hour ago. This is NO fun!!!!
  7. I love your story!! Gives me so much hope. Im having my mini gastric bypass on April 19...revised from a gastric band. Im terrified!!! Im so afraid of what my social life will be. Will i ever be able to go out socialising with friends at restaurants again? My band has caused so many problems over the years. I havent eaten a full portion of food since 2009 so im used to small meals. Have you been able to eat normal foods yet? My main motivation for surgery is knee pain. ..did you find it just disappeared as you list the weight? Congratulations! Sent from my GT-I9505 using the BariatricPal App Thank you both very much!!!
  8. I appreciate all of you that have offered your support, both in regards to my weight loss and now kidney stones.
  9. I'm in again!! I love these challenges and so thankful to be apart of them. Sarah - Thanks so much for all you do my friend!!!
  10. Thank you all so much for the love and support. I'm not sure what I've shared so far (since I'm doped up on pain meds), so I apologize if I repeat myself. I was discharged from the hospital around noon yesterday with 5 prescriptions (pain, pain, nausea, antibiotic, and OTC stool softener). I am still in lots of pain and urinating lots of blood. Have to take pain med every 4 hours or it becomes unbearable. The laser broke up the 8mm stone and he got most of it, but it was really hard and sharp causing a lot of damage to my urethra. It has also caused a tremendous amount of pain and swelling in my testicles. (Feels like someone has been kicking me over and over in the groin area). I have a stent in and I have to leave it in for 4 weeks (and it too causes a lot of pain). So I'm pretty much bed ridden for at least 1 week as my surgeon doesn't want me doing anything at all in order to allow things to heal a little and swelling to hopefully go down. Thanks again to all of you for your thoughts, prayers, and kind words. They mean the world to me!!!
  11. Thank you both so very much!!! Really appreciate the prayers. Hope to be released soon. Didn't sleep at all last night.
  12. Thanks. I hope I do too, but just found out I have to keep the stint in for 3 weeks. Ouch!!!
  13. I am a Christian as well and couldn't have said it better. I'm maxed out on the pain meds right now and have to wait 4 hours in between doses.
  14. Pic showing my urine consisting of almost entirely blood.
  15. They also put in a stint that I have to keep in for at least 2 weeks.
  16. I can't sleep because I'm in so much pain....and I just don't like hospitals.
  17. Prayers!!! Sent from my LG-H811 using the BariatricPal App Thank you so much!!!

  20. Thanks everyone. Out of surgery and in recovery. Being admitted to the hospital for monitoring.
  21. Actually, the Urologist is coming for me right now and taking me straight into surgery.....
  22. I've been in severe pain and throwing up most of the day so I went to the ER. My urine sample was almost entirely blood and a CT scan found that I have an 8mm kidney stone!!! Yikes!!! I've had kidney stones 6 times previously, but never one this large. I will need surgery to have it removed, so they will probably admit me to the hospital for the night to control the pain/nausea and then schedule surgery for tomorrow morning. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
