  1. I tried it for 2 months and got tired of it to the point I can't smell it anymore. I have tried to consume the rest of the last package and I can't. It's expensive and didn't find I had exceptional results with it. I tried the chocolate shake. Is just my opinion.
  2. Definitely we are all different. Definitely don't mix it with food, but other than that I have no problem with soda. In any case, sometimes it help get sooth when my tummy is not feeling well.
  3. Hi all, I am trying to understand why I can't eat as much at work while am sitting down 10 hours a day, but at home I am perfectly fine. Is the sitting position making me vomit even the coffee? I have a schedule of 10 hours a day 4 days a week and on those days I am misserable, the rest of the week I am perfectly fine. Any thoughts....Thanks...
  4. That happened to me the week before Thanksgiving. It all went away after a week. It was horrible and scary the first days, specially when you cannot sleep because as soon as you fall asleep you choke. As I said, It all went away by itself. I was in Florida that week and didn't know what to do because I didn't want anyone to take fluid out (I was afraid they would ruin my band lol). So I waited out. Lots of liquids, not eating or drinking after 5 o'clock and Nexium each morning and night. Little by little I realized that eating three times a day wasn't a good choice, so, I started eating small amount of food every 2 to 3 hours. Eat like a 7 year old and you will make it lol.
  5. I think that if you had tried to loose weight with several diets and you loose the weight but always gain it back-- don''t waste more time and go ahead and have it done. Chances are that your eating habits are not good enough and with the band you either eat well or suffer the consequences.
  6. Bread is a big no no. I am actually happy that I can't tolerate bread anymore. That's one less carb I have to worry about! Drinking while eating another big no, no. Only if you are eating soup I would say drink something, but with solids I can't drink because it makes me feel that something got stuck and I hate it.
  7. Wow what a difference. Keep up the good work and share it with us. congratulations! :grouphug::smile:
  8. I don't have the box or receipt anymore. Will they take it back anyway? Thanks,
  9. I can totally relate. I was banded on 09/21 and my weight is just not moving. My doctor told me to not exercise until week 6. ?????????? He explained that if I exercise I could develop hernias and my incisions won't heal well and they could be ugly incisions. Has anyone started to exercise before that?
  10. I have anthem BCBS and they cover lap band and RNY forget about Vertical Gastric Sleeve. lol I had no problem with them getting me approved. Good luck.
  11. Hi, Let me tell you what helped me decide between RNY and Lap-Band. I was schedule for RNY and the week before surgery I was having a really hard time dealing with anxiety (always doubting myself if that was the right decision). So, looking for information on the internet I found a video on You Tube that helped me decide. (if you want the link send me a private message, I don't know if posting the link would get me in trouble). Basically, the doctor was saying that if you have to loose over 90lbs. and have comorbidities such as diabetes, severe hypertension, sleep apnea, etc., RNY would be a good option. Basically you could be trading in some medical issues for other. If you have to loose 90lbs or more but you don't have very serious medical problems then the Lap-Band would be a good option. I falled under that category that's why I chose Lap-Band. Keep in mind that the outcome of each surgery depends on how much you are willing to work. That's how I decided it. Hope it helps.
  12. Hi, I purshased Body Choice-concentrated weight loss shots with 25 grams of Protein at costco today...and let me tell you...OMG they tasted really BAD-horrible-awful. I don't recommend them at all. I just wasted $20.:rolleyes2: I do recommend premier nutrition chocolate Protein shakes that you can find also at Costco. They are pretty good.
  13. I wish you luck with whatever it is. Hopefully, is nothing serious.
  14. Go to another doctor in your area.
  15. Thank God I feel great. Of course the incisions hurt but nothing I can't handle. My husband just made me the best chicken broth ever. So far so good. :rolleyes2:
  16. Hi I had surgery yesterday, and as soon they gave me my "lunch" I started sipping and taking it easy but I noticed that I could drink like I did the day before. I asked my doctor and he told me that is because I have no restriction yet and the Water or Clear liquids would go "down the drain", Like a funnel I guess, but he told me to keep drinking ounces a time to make the habit until I get my restriction. I don't know how I will feel with full liquds though. Good luck in your journey.
  17. Hi, I am getting banded tomorrow Sept 21st, 2010 and I am a little bit nervous, not for the surgery itself but for the complications that I am willing to take. I was schedule to have gastric bypass 5 years ago, and the day before I called it off. I said to myself, I can do without surgery and here I am at 280lbs 5 years later. I was considering having gastric bypass again, and my insurance approved it, but again last week I was sooo nervous I couldn't sleep I had a panic attack at work I ended up taking the rest of the day off to calm myself. Thank my hubby for his support, he is simply WONDERFUL. Anyway, after I came home and think about it I decided to have Lap-Band because I am not going to wait another 5 years to realize I need a tool to help me loose the weight. That's how I decided to have Lap-Band. Gastric Bypass is way to drastic for me and I don't have the ***** to do it. Don't regret to have surgery because is more likely that you will be regreting not having it in the first place. **Hope you all understand what I am trying to say, English is my second language**
