  1. Hello everyone . Many, many times I find myself eating just to find out that oh well, I guess I really wasn't "that hungry" . This has caused some weight gain and cycles of meaningless eating. If it wasn't or my band I would be so much heavier t this moment. In your opinion, how do you differentiate head hunger vs. real hunger ? Any tips on how to not be a head hunger victim ?
  2. Any one recommend a nice doctor or a fill in Chicago?
  3. Hello everyone. Do any of you take PGX fiber capsules to help you feel full? Would this stuff stretch the pouch?
  4. The same EXACT thing happened to me 2 weeks ago !
  5. I only told my mom and my boyfriend. I didn't tell ANYBODY at work. They are intrigued about my weight loss. But it's really not their business. My co-workers kept pressuring me about my "diet secret". 2 years have gone by. They gave up asking
  6. I weigh myself first thing in the morning, every day .It's just me. It keeps me in-check.
  7. I often compare my stomach on the lap band as a bad dog on a leash !!
  8. Hi everyone. Happy Friday. Hopefuly everyone is well. Has any one ever experience port pain (not stomach pain), but specific port pain while eating or drinking any thing ? My theory is that when we fill our pouches with any amount of liquid or food, if as the pouch becomes full, it puts pressure on the band and as that happens, the band pulls the string attached to the port. That's my theory. What do you guys think ? Does that happen to any of you ? Thank You.
  9. Wow ! It looks like u had a tummy tuck. That's AMAZING. Congrats !!!
  10. Try to walk around and if possible...try to pass some gas. It sounds funny but it might help
  11. Has anyone ever had a stretched pouch, and if so, what did you do about it? Is it necessary to go on liquids and if so, for how many days? Does a liquid diet really un-stretch it back to its original post-op form ?
  12. Omg. That happens to all of us at one point. Yes, it's scary. But that's how we learn. Good Luck.
  13. I often compare by stomach on the band to a dog on a leash.
  14. Well... Basically, i had stopped following the rules, and had emotional eating problems. I just strated eating a lot, basically. I'm trying to get back to the mindset that i had when I started my weight loss journey. Thank You for your reply
  15. Hello Every One ! I've been banded for 2 years and 6 months. Just recently, I kindda stretched my pouch a little bit, and now I'm on a liquid diet to make my pouch small. My doctor told me to be on liquids for 7 days to un-stretch my pouch. I'm just trying to go back to the basics... Once I'm back to eating solid protein, should I chew the food to be a bit chunky, semi-soft, or pureed consistency before I swallow? Thank you for your reply !
  16. Don't give up. I can understand that you are disappointed. I think that most of us, at one point or another go through something like this. At the peak of my weight loss momentum, the doctor had to take all the fluid out because I had a small slip. Once all the water was out, and 3 weeks later, I had gained almost 10 lbs. But, keep looking forward and re-focus. Try your best to put that behind you. You'll do fine .
  17. Please go get a fill. I'm in the same situation as you are. I've made an appoitment to get my band filled again. You've come a long way in your journey. Don't sabotage your self any longer.
  18. Hi Xavier, I've learned from my mistakes (sometines). That happened to me too a while ago. I ate a piece of a French bagette and I thought for a minute that I would have to go to the ER. I literally had to gag myself to get rid of the piece of bread that was stuck in my esophagus. Once I had rid of it I was in such much pain that I was hurting for at least 2 days straight. Bread scares my band. But at this moment my band is unfilled and I have been eating bready stuff. I gained 5 pounds. I'm going to the doctor's office on Friday for a fill. I need my restriction back !!!!
